Black Light Folk Festival West: A New Energy Convergence in Chico, California featuring activities and performances from Chambly Towers (Tim Bluhm's new Fariña-ish duo), Spider (solo songstress from Brooklyn), The Joints (ragtag folk-rock music, Brooklyn as well), Puddle Junction + Goat Rope (country blues, Chico), Sorcery Bird (real good for real folk deals, Oakland), Jackie-O Motherfucker (pickin' guitar and skronk improv from Portland), Turbine (aural mayhem from Oakland), and Nate Pendery (from Chico's The Deer).
